California SB 260 passed in the senate on May 28, 2013, and did so handily with a bipartisan vote of 27 to 11. The bill now heads to the State Assembly. We expect a committee hearing in June. Write your Assembly Member now!!!

There is increasing law enforcement support for reform of sentencing laws for youth. The Sheriff of Los Angeles, the most populous county in the state, and the District Attorney and former Chief of  the San Francisco Police Department both submitted letters in support of SB 260 this week.
